The balanced scorecard is a strategic planning and management system that is used to align activities of the organization to the vision and strategy of the organization, and to monitor organization performance against strategic goals and targets established externally (i.e. by our funders) or internally.
We use the scorecard as a performance measurement framework that adds strategic non-financial performance measures to give the Board and staff a more ‘balanced’ view of organizational performance. In 2012 – 2013 we began the presentation of scorecard by the Executive Director to the Board for discussion and approval.
