Street Outreach at Queen West connects workers and peer workers with those in the community in an environment outside of the health centre during non-business hours. The Harm Reduction Program recruits, hires and trains individuals who are members of our community to provide secondary supply distribution and Street Outreach services. Street outreach is provided during times when the community has indicated that services are generally not available. Teams of two workers take to the streets of queen west on bikes to provide safer drug use, safer sex, body piercing and testosterone/steroid kits & supplies as well as water, hygiene supplies, socks, & underwear, information & support to those on the streets.
